    “The Axial Age Debate As Religious Discourse”
    Dr. Joas is a distinguished sociologist and social theorist, and he is Director of the Max Weber Center for Advanced Cultural and Social Studies.


Weekly Seminar

  • The Institute’s Weekly Seminar series will begin with the arrival of fellows in the fall of 2010. Dr. Vittorio Hösle, Director of the NDIAS, will lead these two-hour seminars for all Institute fellows. The purpose of the Weekly Seminar is to encourage collegial discussion and interdisciplinary dialogue and debate.

Notre Dame faculty and students are welcome to attend and invitations may be extended for discussions of appropriate topics.
